Answers That Help You Move Up

Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions answered: Climbing Coaching Insights

This coaching is designed for climbers of almost all levels — beginners, intermediate, and advanced (up to 7c/5.12d lead or 7B boulder) — who want to improve their movement efficiency and climbing technique. Whether you climb indoors or outdoors, this program will help you refine your skills.

Ideally, send a video of a complete route or boulder problem. Choose a climb that feels challenging for you — ideally near your limit. Don’t worry if you fall; the goal is to see how your body moves under stress.

Make sure to record the video from behind (either directly or at a rear-side angle). This allows me to clearly see your movement patterns — including spine posture, shoulder positioning, footwork, and coordination.

The better the camera angle and quality, the more precise the feedback will be.

After you send me a climbing video — ideally showing a full route or boulder from behind — we’ll schedule a video call to break it down together. During the call, I’ll help you identify your movement patterns, strengths, and areas that need improvement. We’ll look at what’s holding you back and discuss clear, actionable steps to enhance your technique. The goal is to give you a deeper understanding of how you climb and what changes will help you move more efficiently and confidently.

  • Quick Talk – A 45-minute video call to discuss a specific question or issue.
  • Full Coaching Session – A detailed breakdown of your climbing technique with video analysis, comments, and personalized recommendations.

You can send your video via email, WhatsApp, or another agreed platform. I provide feedback through text, annotated images, or even short videos explaining key points.

No, a smartphone camera is enough. Just make sure the video is clear and captures your full movement. Proper lighting and angle help in providing more accurate feedback.

Simply visit the coaching page and choose the service you need. You’ll receive instructions on how to submit your video or schedule a call.

I specialize in movement efficiency, including footwork, body positioning, weight shifting, flow, breathing, and balance—all essential skills to climb better with less effort.
